Why Chiropractic? I am often asked why did I choose to become a Doctor of Chiropractic: Most people have a personal experience and that life altering event is what drives us towards our chosen profession. When I was a child I ran across the road without looking and was struck by a car. That accident fractured my spine and after months in the Hospital my parents were told by the best medical professionals that I would be handicapped or in the very least I would require crutches in order to walk. My parents made the choice to take me to a Chiropractor for another opinion. Within months I was walking without any difficulty. In fact I progressed enough that I was able to play high school sports and lead a very active lifestyle. When it was my time to decide in college what to study, I wanted to become a Chiropractor and be able to give the gift of recovery that I was given to those that also were suffering. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, New York, and received my Doctorate of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 1996. After graduation, I was the first chiropractor to work with an MD-based urgent care center in all of central New York. At that time, I also was a clinical instructor for the outpatient center at New York Chiropractic College where I directed NYCC students during their residency programs. My practice focuses on personal injuries, sports-related trauma, headaches, sprain/strain injuries, disc herniation, and pregnancy-related back pain. I have also had the honor of being asked to give expert testimony for workers compensation and personal injury cases.
